Crypto Risk Management

GFIA hosted a seminar on Crypto Risk Management on the 16th February at The Sunborn, Gibraltar.

The session opened with a networking breakfast and then followed with a lively panel discussion discussing Crypto Risk Management. The session provided a very general feel to why risk management in Crypto is different to traditional assets, markets and trading.

The panelists included the following;

Alon Goll Director of Financial Operations at Prycto. Alon has been involved with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies since 2012;  Mikko Ohtamaa CEO and co-founder of Trading Strategy, an algorithmic trading solution for decentralised finance. Over the past decade, he has been acting as the CTO of a host of companies, both in Europe and the US. Benjamin Ittah is Head of Sales & Distribution Europe at Hashdex with responsibility for building Hasdex’ European activity including client coverage and strategic business development; Roei Bar Aviv Co founder and CTO of Spring Software Ltd, Gibraltar. Roei has over 10 years of experience in software architecture, design, development, testing, and verification; and Philip Vasquez, Philip is the Chief Legal Officer and co-founder of Gibraltar based digital asset broker/dealer and payments business Damex.io. Philip is responsible for the group's legal and regulatory matters and is a director of the Damex group's private fund, Bloq Capital.
